Topic: The Importance of Visualizing Requirements
When writing user stories, BAs can run into the challenge of creating clear and detailed stories so the ticket owner can execute it effectively—and it can be a costly process to ensure the result is what the stakeholders need. How much easier would that be if you could literally show the ticket owner what is needed to fulfill the requirement? You could remove a lot of the guess-work and stress for both you and your team.
As a user experience professional, part of my job is collaborating with BAs to create interactive wireframes that depict intended functionality and workflows. This helps mitigate the risk of misunderstanding stakeholder needs and reduces the amount of time the BA has to spend pouring over hyper-detailed user stories.
In our discussion, I will speak to the importance of UX & BA collaboration especially as requirements come to light and are defined and validated. We will also talk about how visualizing those requirements vastly improves the efficiency of requirement definition, validation, and successful fulfillment.
