Topic: What Disruption Really Means and How to Prepare for it

Janell founded Loxa Beauty (then My Best Friend’s Hair) in 2010. After raising investment capital with partners, Janell pivoted the business and created a patented model for ecommerce. That pivot lead to an acquisition of the company in 2013 by Sally Beauty. Janell is passionate about technology and disruption. She is experienced with big data, analytics, user adoption, and digital strategy. Janell has been featured on and was the recipient of L’Oreal’s Women in Digital Top Ten Award for 2012.

Disruption is a hot topic today with startups and especially technology. But disruption isn’t all positive and it’s not all easy. At this Startup Study Hall, Janell will teach you how to prepare your company, team, partners and potential acquirers for the disruption your company creates.
